The Nutcracker

Ballet Arts of Jackson would like to take you on a thrilling holiday adventure with Clara, the Nutcracker, and the Mouse King. The Nutcracker is a delightful and whimsical Christmas story that both the young and young at heart will enjoy. This iconic performance will be held December 10-12 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson.

PERFORMANCES:
Friday, December 10 at 7 p.m.
Saturday, December 11 at 7 p.m.
Sunday, December 12 at 2 p.m.

“This will be a very special Nutcracker season as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the longest-running Nutcracker in Tennessee,” said Caroline Meinert, Artistic Director Ballet Arts. “If you’ve ever danced in Ballet Arts’ Nutcracker, we’d like to invite you back to relive our favorite Christmas story. We will recognize former dancers at the beginning of each performance and thank them for helping make this beloved holiday tradition a reality.”

Before entering the land of sweets come and enjoy some delectable treats at the Arabian Tea Party. Partygoers will visit with some of their favorite characters from the Nutcracker while enveloped in an atmosphere of mystery. Don’t miss the event of the season! Little ones who attend get a special gift for their Christmas tree.

The Arabian Tea Party will be Saturday, December 11 at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 12 at 12:30 p.m.

The Nutcracker is one of two major performances for Ballet Arts. The second performance, Peter Pan is scheduled for March 18-20.
